The word “parfait” means “perfect” in French, and this dessert really is the ideal thing for those with a sweet tooth. Using two of the 10 superfoods groups — berries and yogurt — you’re not only devouring something delicious, but also doing your body a great service.
1/4 cup berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries…go wild!)
1/2 cup yogurt
1/2 slice pound cake
long cup or dish.
Dice the pound cake into small, 1/2 inch pieces. Layer on the bottom of the glass. Top with yogurt, then berries. Continue to layer until the glass is full. Garnish with whipped cream and mint leaves.
