Diabetes/Chromium Link

According to a recent article by Natural News, the supplement Glucose Transport Factor Chromium functions by increasing the efficiency of insulin in regulating blood sugar levels. The article’s source, “Chromium in the Prevention and Control of Diabetes” by Richard A. Anderson comes from the Journal of the American College of Nutrition.

The study by Dr. Anderson involved 180 men and women diagnosed with Type II diabetes. The group was randomly divided into thirds, and given either 200 mcg or 500 mcg of chromium or a placebo twice a day. Those receiving the higher dose of chromium found significant insulin response improvement. In addition, the number of insulin receptors and level of blood lipids increased.

Speak to your doctor before adding any supplements to your diet; however, do ask about how adding GTF Chromium may help to improve your diabetes.
