Simple Salmon

Salmon is best when prepared simply so that the natural flavors are enhanced, not covered up. For that reason, this salmon recipe keeps things basic. Your friends and family will be impressed by your cooking skills — and it’s up to you whether or not to tell them how easy it is!

2 salmon steaks
1 tablespoon butter
salt
pepper
half of a lemon

Preheat your oven (or toaster oven) to 400 degrees. Cut the butter into small chunks and scatter over the salmon fillets. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the steaks, then squeeze the lemon half evenly over both steaks as well. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve with rice, potatoes or a leafy green salad.
